Here is a ruffed in start to an oil painting commissioned by a client from Italy. This will be a blonde adorable chihuahua named Diana in her favorite Louis Vuitton tote. This client has a home of neutral colors so we are trying out this background of peachy/beige and cream. Please check back often to view the progress on this current commission.

Now here I have Diana started and a little more of the bag outlined. I’m still liking the background color but will wait to hear from the client on how she feels about it. This may change so keep checking back to view my progress on this painting. I am falling in love with Diana already. She truly is a doll!
I’ve changed the background some and am still working with the color. Have given Diana a more rounded face and detail overall. Will start working on the bag next. Diana is coming to life!
Spending time with the bag working on shape and color along with the LV styling of the front.
Diana is such good company. Music playing for this week is mostly the blues with a little classical to round things out.

Today a great change to the background took place as the first attempt was just not doin’ it for me. Now this pink is truly whimsical and I like it very much. I will still put effort into the color shading. Have been working on the shape of the face and will continue with the design of the front of the bag. Today all day has been opera music although it is beginning to drive me a little batty so I think I will change it up and play some Patty Griffin.

Today I only had time to upload this current picture of Diana. Worked on her face Sunday and she is really a cutie!
